:)

God specializes in things fresh and firsthand. His plans for you this year may outshine those of the past. He’s preparing to fill your days with reasons to give Him praise.

Dreams 2 :)

Just a thought....
Its said that the human mind has tremendous power and how this power manifests is more or less up to us. There are times in our lives when doubts threaten our peace and form dreadful obstacles in our path.
So how does one deal with these doubts ?
Well the idea is not to deal with them at all. Divert ur attention to something else ...say ur dreams . Whatever we focus on gets the power of the mind and thus becomes stronger. So when its really up to us, why not empower our dreams and welcome a beautiful life :)

Happy Walk Of INNOCENCE

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
- PABLO PICASSO

“When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work. I told her I worked at the college - that my job was to teach people how to draw. She stared at me, incredulous, and said, "You mean they forget?"”
-HOWARD IKEMOTO

A few days ago, I found my self walking behind two kids, lets say about seven or eight years of age . I couldn't help but notice the spring in their step and the nonchalance of not having a care in the world. Compared to this , on my mind was a constant reminder of deadlines to be met and tasks to be struck off my list. The contrast struck me and made me wonder if its possible to walk the happy walk of innocence even now or maybe forever. I have always believed that you can get and become anything you want if you focus on getting there- so this should be possible too:)
I envy all the pediatricians and kindergarten teachers who witness this innocence most days of their lives :)- Count your blessings......

Hope...

Am discovering hope - a belief in a positive outcome. Here are a few lines helping the cause :)......

Barack Obama:

Hope is what led a band of colonists to rise up against an empire; what led the greatest of generations to free a continent and heal a nation; what led young women and young men to sit at lunch counters and brave fire hoses and march through Selma and Montgomery for freedom's cause. Hope is what led me here today -- with a father from Kenya, a mother from Kansas; and a story that could only happen in the United States of America. Hope is the bedrock of this nation; the belief that our destiny will not be written for us, but by us; by all those men and women who are not content to settle for the world as it is; who have courage to remake the world as it should be. [January 3, 2008]

Kalidasa:

Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn!
Look to this Day!
For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the
Verities and Realities of your Existence.
The Bliss of Growth,
The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived makes
Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!
Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!

Robert Fulghum:

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge -- myth is more potent than history -- dreams are more powerful than facts -- hope always triumphs over experience -- laughter is the cure for grief -- love is stronger than death.

MARATHON :)

"The marathon's about being in contention over the last 10K. That's when it's about what you have in your core. You have run all the strength, all the superficial fitness out of yourself, and it really comes down to what's left inside you. To be able to draw deep and pull something out of yourself is one of the most tremendous things about the marathon."
.......Rob de Castella

The marathon analogy has been oft mentioned to me in recent times by friends. Sure enough in the present scenario in my life , its nothing but the truth.
Along the way there are a lot of good things I have picked up...
  • Just start walking on the path and watch it unfold
  • Have faith...its dark but there is a hand thats guiding you through it..feel it and acknowledge it :)
  • God's plan is always the best!
  • Keep on pushing and the wall will move
  • If the road seems too tough and u want to crib always remember that its ur choice ...u r running out of choice
  • Do simple things well, all difficult things will sort themselves out
  • Dream big dreams and watch them come true...all of them :)- no compromises!
  • Visualization and hope ....always work :)

Its said that God speaks to us through our friends...must be true after all :)

A GIFT :)

GROW OLD WITH ME…..

As I look back at the chapters of my life

What comes to the face is an amazed smile

And then as I bring forth my eyes to the present

The scene turns even more pleasant

As u are now a part of my life so real

Yet it all seems surreal.

Never thought one could dream a person into one’s life

But now looking at u I know it’s a possible strike

As we share our dreams all so alike

Our thoughts so beautiful make us both smile.

Then as u pop the question, the one from ur heart

Bent down on a knee under the stars

Ur love evident as the twinkle in ur eye

A little on the edge, a little shy

I look at you in this moment

My heart’s feelings I send summon

To answer another heart’s question

Finally the words come forth, pure as a sermon…

Yes my dear is the reply

As I stand there demure and shy

True my visions of love have become

Grow old with me the best is yet to come

This poem was a wedding gift for one of my very close friends :)

Great Minds Great Thoughts....

A few thoughts that struck me in recent times and a few that have for a long time :)....

Herodotus:
Some give up their designs when they have almost reached the goal; while others, on the contrary, obtain a victory by exerting, at the last moment, more vigorous efforts than ever before.

Louis Pasteur:
Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal: my strength lies solely in my tenacity.
Marian Wright Edelman:
You're not obligated to win. You're obligated to keep trying to do the best you can every day.

Ovid:
Let your hook always be cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish.

Thomas Alva Edison:
Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing.

Joan of Arc:
One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.

Joan of Arc :
I am not afraid... I was born to do this.

Charles Spurgeon :
By perseverance the snail reached the ark.
