A WALK UNDER THE STARS

It was a beautiful moment beyond all bars
as i went along for walk under the stars,
being looked upon by the bejewelled sky,
all alone yet spirits soaring high,
their twinkle matching the one in my eye,
as under the divine light i chose to lie

the luminescence washing away the darkness,
amidst the sorrow, the road to happiness
The dreams of the night time came by,
as i heard in the distance, a mother singing a lullaby,
the visions of a new day herald by the morrow
still waiting in the quiver, the beautiful arrow.

Life seemed so wonderful and complete,
as was lit the path under my feet,
the chirp of the little bird by the river,
the mystery of the wind made the tree shiver
i walked on with my thoughts making me smile,
didn't realise had come farther than a mile.

Amidst this beauty i chose to continue,
and thoughts that came were of you
i know life chalks out plans of its own,
laying down fields for seeds to be sown,
Life will go on one way or the other,
as much as I hope that we be together.
We may not walk together on the path of life,
we may be pulled apart by the hands of strife,
but my last thought as i turn back to our home now so far
is- will you join me for just one WALK UNDER THE STARS.

TRUST....

Most times when I get stuck with life situations, I resort to reading quotations about the matter in search of a solution. Reading this one on trust put me at peace in one such situation.....

The key is to get to know people and trust them to be who they are. Instead, we trust people to be who we want them to be - and when they are not, we cry.

At a time where the pursuit of personal goals paved the way for making it through somewhat tougher times..sure enough put into place by GOd as always ...a light where nothing was in sight....

Over a month into the tasks, there are times when confidence wavers and patience bows down but sure enough appear words that put things into motion again ....

Vision is when u see what no one else is wlling to see
Faith is when you are willing to do what no one else is willing to do

Adding to these are my three Ps - Passion, patience and perseverance...

the goal is nigh
no limit to how far u can fly !

Adieu MAMC

Its time after 10 great years to leave MAMC. Some decisions in life are really tough ones to take and this counts certainly as one of them. But then I read somewhere that to start over again often requires an immense amount of strength.
My time in MAMC has been one of an amazing transformation - one from a just out of school kid to that of a confident and responsible doctor. Well thats what a medical school does to you . But real medicine and the real lessons to learn come with entry into the hospital. Postgraduation has been an amazing period - the realisation of having found your calling , one of passion for your work ...and knowing that all human limits of hard work can be stretched. The respect for the profession has only been growing over the years....
MAMC has just not been a place for lessons in medicine ...but life too. Most important are the friends and acquaintances that the place gives us ...no MAMCite can feel the dearth of company all his life ..
Nescafe , library lawns , all the greenery MAMC is like second home.... I would just sit there after a tough duty , of ten with a friend.... and all the fatigue would wear off...thats the magic of MAMC.
Inspite of this for now its time to leave since stagnation is one of the worst enemies of enthusiam.
I believe that all choices have the potential of being right and I pray to GOD to help me make this the right one
